British Airways has announced the launch of a brand-new route connecting Guernsey with London Heathrow.
In a widely anticipated move, British Airways is to introduce flights between London Heathrow and Guernsey from April next year.
The oneworld carrier's first flights from Heathrow to Guernsey, which is the world's tenth-busiest airport by aircraft movements, will be on April 19th, with prices starting at £98 one-way.
The route will run twice daily on weekdays and daily on Saturday and Sunday using Airbus A319 jets.
The Guernsey Hospitality Association's Alan Sillett said the announcement, expected on Friday, was a positive development: "This is fantastic news, exactly the kind of investment in connectivity Guernsey needs right now."
It marks the first time British Airways has operated scheduled services to Guernsey since June 2023.
