GFC fans have expressed their disappointment after the club announced that it has been expelled from this season's FA Cup.
On Saturday (2 August), the Green Lions made their return to the FA Cup after years away.
They drew 1-all with Bedfont Sports at Victoria Park.
The result meant a reply was needed, but before that could happen, an issue was flagged.
GFC reported to the Football Association that an unregistered player took part in the match.
Today (6 August), the club announced that GFC has subsequently been removed from this season’s competition.
Bedfont Sports Club FC has been awarded the tie and will progress to the Preliminary Round.
Fans have expressed their disappointment on social media.
