From 4 October, children and young people who have travelled outside of the Bailiwick will not have to take a coronavirus test before returning to school.
The Civil Contingencies Authority has agreed the restrictions will be eased, removing the requirement for those who have travelled within the 14 days before going back to education to take a PCR test.
Instead, everyone in classes from Reception upwards will be asked to take a lateral flow test at home if they have been outside of the Bailiwick within the 10 days before returning to school.
Packs of 25 LFTs were distributed to every schoolchild at the start of the current school year. Anyone who needs more kits can get more from schools or at Beau Sejour.
