The transformation of La Grande Mare is 'progressing well'.
Billionaire businessman Steve Lansdown unveiled plans to redevelop the La Grande Mare site in July 2020.
Since then, the former hotel has been demolished, and a Golf Performance Centre with 10 driving bays opened in October.
The multi-million-pound project has reached another milestone in the final month of 2025, with the steel frame of the new country club now in place.
La Grande Mare Operations Manager Fay Boyd says it's nice to see the building take shape.
"As islanders will have seen, the framework for the country club has been erected, and it’s fantastic to see a glimpse of what the building will look like once complete.
"It’s a complex project with all the groundworks and services required for the gym, 25-metre swimming pool, restaurant, function rooms and the golf club, but it is going well.
"Work will soon commence on making the structure wind and water-tight."
The golf course is complete, with play expected to begin in August 2026 once the greens and fairways have settled.
