Police are looking for witnesses to two men fighting in the Morrisons car park at Millbrook.
One was punched a couple of times until a woman intervened.
She and the attacker drove off in a white Renault hatchback car.
It happened between 18:15 and 18:25 on Sunday 17 March.
The attacker is described as around 50 years old, about 6ft tall with dark and grey hair, while the woman was aged around 45-55, around 5’9, with straight shoulder length blonde hair.
