Condor's Commodore Clipper is out of service after divers found that she had been damaged by debris.
It's yet another set back for Condor, after the Goodwill was damaged whilst in dry dock in Spain.
The ferry firm will put on extra high speed sailings between Guernsey, Jersey and Poole to off-set the back log.
John Napton, Condor's CEO, says the situation was frustrating but they are working hard to minimise disruption.
"This is clearly unfortunate, however, we will do everything possible to limit the impact of this unexpected situation and recognise the inconvenience this may cause.
Over the next few days, we will be proactively contacting passengers booked to travel on Clipper and transferring them to alternative sailings and our freight teams will be busy with customers."
The island's freight will be picked up by the Goodwill and the MV Midas, which was brought in last month while the Goodwill was out of service.
The Clipper is expected to be back in service by next Sunday (20 November).
