The five people vying to become Constable of St Helier will go head to head at a hustings this evening (6 May).
The seat is the most-contested of Jersey's forthcoming general election on 7 June.
Voters in St Helier can question the candidates at the Town Hall from 7pm.
The seat is vacant because Simon Crowcroft is retiring after 25 years as Father of the Parish. In five elections he was returned unopposed.
It means the island's capital will have a new Constable for the first time in a quarter of a century.
Hoping to be chosen are previous candidates Alvin Aaron and Mark le Chevalier, and three current parish deputies - Inna Gardiner, David Warr and Reform Jersey's Rob Ward.

Election organisers say the hustings is a chance to hear each candidates' priorities, compare their views, see how they act under pressure and find out how they would tackle pressing issues.
