Jersey Met is warning heavy, persistent rain could lead to flash flooding.
The island will be hit by downpours early in the afternoon on Saturday (7 September), although the bulk of the rain is likely to fall at night, continuing into Sunday (8 September).
Islanders are being warned about the possibility of 'localised' flash flooding.
Government of Jersey:
"The exact location of the heaviest rain is uncertain, but it will be over or close to the Channel Islands."
The government has been preparing for the weather by clearing drains.
People worried about the flooding can visit the government website for more information on how to prepare, cope and clean up.
