It seems talk of a second series of Bergerac is premature, with UKTV telling Channel 103 there is no news yet on the show's recommissioning.
Industry website TV Zone UK reported the re-imagining of the eighties detective show that debuted on U and U&Drama earlier this year will be back for another series.
It said, though not officially confirmed, 'production listings state the show is currently in pre-production with filming to commence this summer'.
Pre-production involves script finalisation, casting, and budgeting.
UKTV told Channel 103:
"Bergerac has been one our top performing shows so far this year for our free-streaming service U.
"We would love for the series to return, but there is currently no news to share at this stage."
The re-boot - staring Damien Molony as Jim Bergerac, first aired in late February. Cineworld hosted the Jersey premiere.

Although reviews were mixed at the time, the exposure for Jersey was positive. The government has invested £1.2m into the project, hoping it will bring more visitors to the island.
Jersey's landscapes were praised by cast and writers alike as a location, with actors agreeing that it 'feels like a character in itself.'
The RadioTimes noted: "The island setting is windswept as much as it’s sun-soaked. Expect plentiful shots of characters gazing broodingly out to sea."
Lead actor Damien Molony told BBC's The One Show:

"The weather is incredible, you've got beautiful beaches...tiny little harbours, old castles.. it's amazing. I can't believe more things aren't filmed in Jersey."
