A figure has been put on Jersey's housing shortfall.
Statistics Jersey says - based on potential demand over the next three years - the island is lacking 2,750 homes.

The Future Housing Needs report provides an estimate of housing requirements until 2021.
It's based on answers people gave in the last Lifestyle Survey about the size and type of property they need.
1,830 are needed by owner-occupiers.
The report points to a particularly big lack of two and three bedroom homes, and not enough accommodation for around 600 registered workers.
Three years ago there was a surplus there, but the shortfall is said to have been driven by recent higher levels of migration.
