Jersey Rugby Club has been nominated for a mental health award.
The 2026 LooseHeadz Community Awards recognise the changes clubs make in the community to tackle the stigma around mental health.
The charity's mission is to save lives by placing a Mental Health Champion at every rugby club around the world, giving them a toolkit of fress resources to support the mental fitness of players, coaches and fans.
Jersey RFC welcomed the charity to the island earlier this year for a workshop.
Co-founder of LooseHeadz, Rob Shotton, said:
"Clubs are where the conversation around mental health really starts.
"These four clubs have shown what’s possible when a community decides that looking after its people matters just as much as what happens on the rugby pitch.

"In Jersey, we want to give a special thank you to Myles Landick and Huw Owen for their continued support and contributions to raising awareness around LooseHeadz and mental health in rugby.
"Every one of our finalists has done something special, and we can’t wait to celebrate them in London on Wednesday.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony today (7 October) at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
The LooseHeadz Community Awards 2026 finalists are:
- Jersey RFC
- Chiswick RFC
- Jurassic Pork
- Loughborough University Women's Rugby Club
