The police and Jersey Water are, literally, looking into a big hole that has appeared on a road in town.
Victoria Street has closed again this evening (6 February), and the utility company is on-site to assess the damage and the cause.
It follows works carried out in the area by Jersey Water and the Infrastructure and Environment department two weeks prior.
The road will be closed for the rest of the night, with diversions in place for residents through Val Plaisant.
The company says it is best to avoid the area where possible.
