Jersey will join the UK and Guernsey in having a four-day bank holiday weekend to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The British Culture Secretary, Oliver Dowden, announced the move in November as a celebration of Her Majesty's 70-year reign.
The May bank holiday weekend is being moved to Thursday 2 June, with an extra day off on Friday 3 June, creating a four-day weekend.
Guernsey previously confirmed it would align with the UK's public holidays.
Jersey's laws mean any changes to bank holidays have to be approved in the States before they come into effect.
It was unanimously supported by all 44 politicians in the chamber on Wednesday 2 March.
