A man has been treated for injuries after being assaulted and robbed in St Helier on New Year's Day.
Police say he was approached outside Gas Place Cafe by a man described as Asian with a stocky build and on a mountain bike at around 6am.
It is believed that the pair began arguing before the victim walked off, but he was followed by the suspect.
He was then assaulted and had a gold chain, black Timex watch and a blue iPhone 13 Max Pro stolen.
The suspect also took the victim's shoes but these were later found in Millennium Park.
The cyclist is said to have a shaved head and wearing a dark top with a wide horizontal stripe across it, possibly a Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren top.
Police are appealing for anyone with CCTV from the area or who may have witnessed the incident.
People with information should call the States of Jersey Police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
