Officers have been searching for the alleged weapon.
They are also continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident at Grands Vaux on Tuesday afternoon.
Channel 103 understands that so far no one has come forward with information.
A 15 year boy who was arrested on suspicion of Grave and Criminal Assault is on police bail while investigations continue.

The fight happened between 2-3pm on the road outside Sutton Court and continued into Whiteley Close.
Police have told Channel 103 that the victim is now in a stable condition.
