Third series of Bergerac confirmed

Damien Molony, as Bergerac, is heading back to Jersey to solve a brand-new case in a third series of the detective drama.

He's set to return alongside co-stars Zoë Wanamaker and Robert Gilbert.

Jason Flemyng, Tessa Peake-Jones, Lee Ingleby and Georgia Tennant are joining the cast.

In the third series, Bergerac embarks upon what's being called his 'most shocking' case yet, when his only significant lead in a suspicious death is a DNA match to Jersey's most notorious unsolved case - the Devil's Hole murder.

Bergerac digs deep into the past as he uncovers evidence of a satanic cabal that goes right to the heart of Jersey society.

Meanwhile, with daughter Kim away at college, could Jim have finally met his perfect match when he meets down-to-earth physiotherapist Laura (Tennant), whilst Charlie's life falls apart when she confronts a home intruder with devastating consequences.

The second series of Bergerac, which launched in April this year on U and U&DRAMA, was watched by an average of 1.3m viewers across its 6-episode run, making it the second highest-rating series on U&DRAMA and across the UKTV network of 2026 so far.

Tricia Warwick, chief executive of Visit Jersey, says the series so far has driven a 'measurable' shift in visitor consideration:

“A third series only strengthens that trajectory.

"Last year, one in four visitors to the island had watched series one, and our latest research (YouGov) shows that Bergerac viewers are three times more likely to consider visiting in the future.

We are thrilled to welcome the production team back for series three, showcasing even more of Jersey to new and longtime Bergerac fans.”
