Jim Bergerac is returning to our screens with new romances blossoming as well as ending.
As filming comes to an end on the second series of the Jersey-based detective show, viewers are getting a glimpse of new characters, classic locations and Jim Bergerac's most intricate case yet.
There are several new cast members this time around, with Adrian Edmondson (Rain Dogs, A Spy Among Friends) as Nigel, a charming new presence in someone's life, and Nicola, played by Camilla Beeput (The Tower, Hijack).
Lesley Sharp (Red Eye, Before We Die) also joins the cast as Monica, mother to Michael, who is played by Turlough Convery (Sanditon, Killing Eve).
Series two also sees the return of Damien Molony (Brassic, The Split) as the complex Jim Bergerac, a brilliant detective grappling with life as a recovering alcoholic and widower.
He is joined once again by Zoë Wanamaker (My Family, Shadow and Bone, Harry Potter) as Charlie Hungerford, Robert Gilbert (Big Boys, Killing Eve) as Barney Crozier, and Chloé Sweetlove (The Crow Girl, My Husband's Double Life) as Kim Bergerac.

Damien Moloney is returning as the famously troubled Jersey detective, who is starting to put his life back together, exploring fresh connections with a new character.
Bergerac's mother-in-law, Charlie Hungerford, also has a new man in her life.
However, Jim is pulled back into solving crime, as a groom is found murdered in his hotel room at his wedding reception.
The detective will have to decipher the victim's cryptic last words from his speech, as the wedding party comes under scrutiny, unravelling old secrets and exposing skeletons in the closet, in the most intricate case yet.

The new series will returns to our screens in 2026, with six 60-minute episodes written by Toby Whithouse, alongside Ashley Sanders, Emilie Robson, Faebian Averies, and Brian Fillis, who continue to reimagine the iconic 80s with a contemporary twist.
Islanders can stream the Bergerac on U and U&DRAMA for free.
